Permaculture Design Course — Brogo Permaculture Gardens

PDC Course in the Bega Valley (only 260kms from the APC venue) immediately prior to the APC. This course is conducted annually at The Crossing Land Education Trust site in Bermagui.

Brogo Permaculture Gardens is pleased to work in association with APC 14 to deliver this  12 day intensive course. The permaculture course curriculum addresses the broad concepts of permaculture through emphasis of the 12 permaculture principles (David Holmgren). Proven examples from around Australia and the world are used to demonstrate the effectiveness of permaculture.

  • origins, development, ethics & principles of permaculture
  • basics of ecology & proven knowledge on climate, water, soils & trees
  • pattern understanding
  • design methods & tools for creative design and process
  • food production systems from an urban to rural scale & animal integration
  • aquaculture & appropriate technology
  • designing for different climatic zones & disaster mitigation strategies
  • energy efficient housing & eco-village design
  • bioregional & local strategies for community resilience.
